Feijoa (Sellowiana / Unique) - Only available in large Planters

The Feijoa is an evergreen shrub which originates from South America. It is both a useful landscape ornamental plant with its showy flowers against its grey/green foliage and provides fantastic fruit for eating. All Tree Gift Feijoa Tres are self-fertile.

Kowhai (Dragon's Gold) - Dwarf Variety

Kowhai is famous for its beautiful brilliant yellow racemes of nectar-rich flowers, which appear in early spring. They are a favourite food for NZ native birds such as the Tui and Wood Pigeon. Kowhai is an evergreen variety producing greenish yellow leaves over a long period from winter until mid-spring.

Dragons Gold - Grows up to 2m
Suitable for planting throughout NZ outdoors in both container or garden

Note: During the months of May - August and again in November- December Kowhai will likely be smaller than that pictured when offered, this is as the growth slows in the winter and heat of summer months - however, of course they will grow - the beauty of a tree gift!.

In February-May the variety on our website differs to Microphylla Tetraptera which grow at this time of year. They are a small leaf variety with zig zagging branches.

Magnolia (Figo Port Wine)

Magnolias are evergreen and one of the first trees to lift the veil of winter, their fresh and vibrant flowers gracing bare branches in spring. Flowering early in the season, with their thick, waxy petals forming goblets on bare branches, a mature magnolia in full bloom is a breath-taking sight.

Other varieties such as Mixed Up Miss and Yunnanesis are often available in our large planter tree gift boxes throughout the year when available - they will be listed by their name on the product page when purchasing if available.

Grows 5m +
Suitable for planting throughout NZ in garden settings.
Symbolising: Something long lasting and held dear within the heart.

Olive (El Greco)

To be admired for its soft grey-green foliage, blending well with other colours in the garden. The attractive smooth grey trunks and branches take on a gnarled, twisted look when this tree reaches maturity. The Olive is not only grown for its beauty but also for its very distinctive culinary fruit and oil. Olive trees prefer full sun and do not tolerate cold winters or having "wet feet".

Grows up to 1.5m
Suitable for planting throughout NZ outdoors in both container or garden
Symbolising: Peace, Unity, Strength & Healing.

Please note - If you are wanting to get an Olive Tree to keep indoors you will need to look for a Dwarf Olive (we do not sell these ourselves), indoor Olives require a good 5-6 hours of sunlight a day. All of our Olives must be kept outdoors.

Pohutukawa - Variety will be noted on page

The Pohutukawa tree has a deep spiritual meaning for Māori which connects the beginning and ending of human life. In mythology, the red flowers of the tree represent the blood of the warrior Tawhaki, a spirit ancestor who showed the way from earth to heaven but fell and died.

Suited for planting outdoors at the top of South & North Island Coastal Areas
Symbolising: The beginning & end of life

Tea Tree - NZ Native Mānuka & NZ Native Kanuka

Originating in New Zealand the Tea Tree is a compact shrub with an abundance of double pink or white flowers with tiny grey-green leaves. Growing quickly, it enjoys partial to full sun in a range of soils from acid to neutral. Manuka typically present as 2-3 smaller branches in their growth, Kanuka a central trunk.

Growing up to 3m

Trees may vary in size from those pictured on our website due to the growing nature of the trees within the seasons. Rest assured, we will always select the very best tree for your gift from our nursery and of course, being a living tree (they will grow ... unlike flowers which, let's face it won't see two weeks from now!)

Delivery Timeframes

Orders placed before 2pm NZST (Mon–Fri) ship same day, unless you've chosen a later date at checkout. Courier delivery timeframes below take priority over any date selected -e.g. choosing next-day for the South Island at checkout indicates the gift leaves immediately; the courier will still take 2–3 working days (excluding weekends), as that is the fastest option to this region.

The approx. delivery timeframes with the courier are listed below. We also offer an urgent delivery option for the North Island which will show at checkout.

(ex public holidays / regional anniversary dates where couriers are not working).

All gifts are marked "Authority to Leave" and tracked with the courier by GPS. You will be able to view the courier tracking number and follow the delivery with this number after dispatch. Couriers are not able to call prior to the delivery of a gift - in NZ they do not offer this service and will leave on the doorstep if not home, if this is not suitable consider using a workplace address.

Waiheke & Stewart Islands - surcharge required by the courier - prices show at checkout.
We are unable to deliver to the Chatham Islands.

Upcoming Closure Dates: Tree Gifts will be closed from Monday 16 November to Tuesday 1 December (inclusive) as we take a break. Orders placed before 2pm on Friday 13 November will be dispatched that day. You're welcome to keep ordering on our website while we're away, and those orders will be dispatched from Wednesday 2 December. We won't be able to respond to emails or answer phone calls during this period. Thank you for your understanding.

Rural Delivery

In very remote rural areas, couriers may not deliver directly to the property. Instead, there may be a local arrangement for parcels to be held at the nearest PostShop, dairy or mail centre for collection.

The recipient will know about this arrangement, with a raised letterbox flag or a card left with instructions to collect.

Once the parcel has reached the designated collection point, it is considered delivered, as this local arrangement is between the rural residents and collection point. If you have been advised that it has not arrived, please let your recipient know to check their mail centre for the parcel.

Cancellation of Order

If you need to cancel your order before it has been shipped, we’re happy to process a refund. Please note that the 3.5% fee is non-refundable, as this fee is charged by the payment provider and is not returned to us. This policy is also outlined in our Terms and Conditions at the time of ordering.

Once a gift ha left our premises, we are unable to cancel the order or stop it while it’s in transit, redirection of the parcel is often available however this can add approximately 3-4 working day to the delivery timeframe Monday-Friday. 📦

Reviews

Exceptional

From start to finish, the service was impeccable. My order from outside New Zealand was handled with professionalism, featuring prompt updates and on-time delivery. The gift arrived in perfect condition thanks to the quality packaging, and the recipients were absolutely delighted.

Beautiful gift made more special with the kowhai tree. This is the second time I had purchased a tree gift, my last one was for my adult daughters birthday.
