Delivery / Refunds / Returns / Cancellations:
Tree Gifts New Zealand utilises an external courier for the delivery of gifts nationwide. We do our very best to ensure your gift is delivered on your preferred delivery date, Tree Gifts New Zealand will not be held accountable for delays to the delivery which are outside of our control within the courier network. We are unable to have a delivery stopped mid transit, nor do we accept returns due to the living nature of our gifts.

Please note that delivery time frames on our Delivery Information page over-ride those which you may enter within your cart. For example: Should you select a delivery date of the day after order, however standard courier delivery time frames to the delivery address require a 2–3 day delivery, the standard delivery time frame will apply as this will be the quickest, we can deliver your gift.
If the courier tracking shows the parcel has been delivered however you are advised that it is not at the property (after speaking with the recipient) please firstly double check the address, you provided on your order to ensure it is the correct.
Please email our team and provide the phone number for the recipient - this is required in order for us as part of the courier claim process - without this we cannot start the claim and resend a new gift. We will never tell the recipient what is inside the parcel when we speak with them - we wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!! However, we do need to talk with them about the property and arrange a more suitable delivery before a new gift is sent.
In our experience, it is very common for recipients to forget to say thanks for gifts, especially in times of grief as this is not their top priority whilst dealing with a death in the family.
Rural Delivery (including R.D addresses and outlying rural towns) require 4-5 working days (excluding weekends) from the date of dispatch to final delivery to the property. This applies to all R.D. addresses within NZ including Waiheke Island and some outlying towns which fall outside of the normal courier zone.
For this reason, we are unable to guarantee a specific date of delivery for rural addresses. If you would like to check if your address is rural, please call 0800 87 3344 or email the team.
Please note a re-delivery fee will be charged if the delivery information provided at the time of order is incorrect resulting in the non-delivery of your gift. We will contact you as soon as we are advised by the courier company that there is any issue surrounding delivery via the phone number or email you provided when you placed your order. Should the gift be returned to ourselves due to incorrect delivery details, and the tree portion of your gift perishes, we are happy to refund minus the cost of the tree gift.
Please note if, as the purchaser you supply an incorrect delivery address, and the courier delivers to the address on the parcel (remember all parcels are marked Authority to Leave in NZ without signature), the courier will not be able to retrieve the gift as they have completed the part of their contract.
In this instance we cannot make a claim for refund from the courier who has completed their job to the address provided and no refund to the purchaser is available as we have delivered where we were advised to. Please ensure you always double check your delivery details.
Returns Refund Policy:
If any damage occurs to your product in transit we will refund or replace, we must be notified of any damage within 2 working days of arrival.
Refunds will be made back to the purchaser's credit card or alternatively by bank transfer if this was the initial method of payment, if you paid via internet banking (Poli) you will need to provide your bank account number so that we can refund to the bank account for you.
Cancelling an Order Prior to Dispatch:
Should you wish to cancel your order before it is dispatched, we are happy to do so. However: we are charged fees on immediate placement of the order which are nonrefundable to the business.
It is unreasonable to expect a small business to wear this charge due to a change of mind. Therefore, any refund for cancelled orders will be processed less the transaction fee of 4% on the total order.
Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be refunded, however we will of course meet all obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
All goods remain the property of Treegifts.co.nz Ltd until accounts are settled in full. All orders placed and confirmed are deemed to be a binding contract between the purchaser and Treegifts.co.nz Ltd. All costs incurred in the recovery of accounts will be added to the total amount owed.
It takes the right conditions and care to ensure seeds can propagate in a garden. As the actual growing of the seeds is out of our control (we are not present in your garden to watch germination, make sure you water, nor do we control Mother nature), we cannot guarantee germination of seed products. However, if you notify us within 6 months of receiving and tossing your seed bombs that they have not germinated (we should add this is very rare) we can organise a replacement for you.
Payments & GST (Goods and Services Tax):
Treegifts.co.nz Ltd is located in NZ and all prices listed on the Treegifts.co.nz website is in $NZD. Our products and services attract a Goods & Services Tax (GST) of 15%. All prices advertised are inclusive of GST.
Credit Card Payment:
Treegifts.co.nz Ltd accepts payments using Visa and Mastercard. If you are utilising the online credit card payment facilities on this site, then it is your responsibility to ensure that the transaction and credit card information along with all other details you provide in relation to payment made through the website are correct. We do not accept liability for transactions which are incorrect as a result of incorrect / inaccurate data of information provided by you.
Through the website we get alerted if an order is deemed to be high risk of fraud. If this happens the order will be refunded to the credit card immediately, should you wish to continue with the order we will require bank payment via Poli direct to our bank account.
If you have a charge from us on your credit card and you believe it is not yours please contact us immediately on firstname.lastname@example.org together with your phone number.

Treegifts.co.nz reserves the right to make minor changes to products in order to expedite delivery. Every effort is made to deliver our gifts as presented on our website, however in the event of any supply difficulty we do reserve the right to substitute goods of the same type or equal or greater value.
An example of this may be where a particular flavour biscuit / biscotti is ordered and not available – a different flavour will be chosen for your gift box to the same value, or a specific hand lotion scent may be substituted for another.
