All parcels due for delivery on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Monday 21st June in Invercargill, Dunedin and Cromwell regions please expect delays due to the Ashburton bridge being closed on Thursday and Friday evenings for repairs. We will update you with more information as this comes to hand.

APPROXIMATE DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES
Orders received by 2:30pm (NZST) Monday to Friday are dispatched on the day of order (ex public holidays) or at a later date as indicated by the delivery date selected in your cart. If your order is in after 2:30pm NZST it will be dispatched on the next working day. When completed you will be emailed a courier tracking number, these will come online from 6pm each day.
North Island (ex Rural):
Typically overnight to most main centres ie: Auckland / Hamilton / Wellington - Monday to Friday. Allow 1-2 days during Winter months for road conditions.
South Island (ex Rural):
Allow 2-3 working days (not including date of dispatch) Monday-Friday. Deliveries to Southland may take 4 working days due to weather conditions in the winter months (ex rural)
Note: You will see a pick up scan from our office then you will not see another scan until it arrives in the South Island main centre closest to your delivery address.
Add +2 additional days to the time frames above for the region (Monday-Friday). Often quicker than indicated.

Do you offer pickups? Sorry - we are an online only business and do not allow pick ups from our premises.
Note: Delivery time frames required by the courier will always over-ride the delivery date you may select in your cart. eg: Should you select next day delivery at checkout but the delivery time frame required is 2 days, this will be the quickest we can have your gift arrive in the area.
Please note the timeframes above are estimates only as delivery timeframes can change daily with traffic, weather, Covid-19 level changes and the like. We are unable to claim from the courier for delays in freight which may occur, we will always do our very best to have your parcel delivered on the day you request, but we cannot 100% guarantee this.
- All gifts are marked "Authority to Leave (ATL)" so that no delay occurs. All of our gifts are tracked through the courier network with both a tracking number and GPS on board the courier van.
- Please use the NZ Post address and postcode finder to double check your delivery details, a redelivery fee will be required if the gift goes astray.
- We are unable to guarantee a time of day that the gift will be delivered, couriers in NZ also cannot call before they arrive. If you need the gift by a certain date for handing to the recipient always select the delivery date as a day or two before to ensure it is with you when you need it.
- If leaving at the property is not safe or there is no access, (apartment, gated community, dogs) please send to a work address.
- We have care information available in case you need to hold onto your gift.
- At times deliveries can be delayed due to factors outside of our control (such as peak times (Christmas), road closures, pandemics!, Inter Island ferry sailings being cancelled). We cannot therefore guarantee the delivery date 100%, but please do tell us your preferred delivery date at checkout and we will do our absolute best to get it there on the day.
Gift Greeting Cards:
Entered at checkout we offer a free gift card with all purchases. Our team handwrites each gift card to give your gift a personal touch. (It doesn't hurt that we also have great handwriting!.. sorry we can't draw emoji's!)
If your gift message is quite long (or you enter emoji's) we will need to print rather than hand write to ensure it fits / is drawn correctly (because if you leave us to draw the emoji, who knows what they'll think it is!).
Tree Gifts offers free delivery on all gift orders over $150 (ex delivery costs) nationwide when going to a single delivery address.
Courier delivery costs for gifts <$150 range from $8.50 - $10.50 depending on the weight / dimensions of the gift box. We do not charge extra for rural delivery.
Note - Free Shipping does not apply to bulk orders for corporate clients due to weight / volume - we will email a quotation on shipping based on the order quantity and location.
Tracking numbers are sent on order completion. They will appear on the courier website after 6pm each evening.
Saturday delivery is available to main centres in the North Island only, orders must be placed by Thursday 4pm. Please email or call 0800 87 33 44 so that we can price this service for you to the area - we will invoice via the site for the gift and the delivery ticket if Saturday delivery is available (Saturday ticket allow $9.50 + normal shipping fees).
Do You Offer Pick up - Sorry, we are an online only retailer and do not offer pick up from our premises.
No. Absolutely not. The only items inside the delivery box are
a) your gift and;
b) the gift card if you entered one at checkout.
All receipts are emailed to the original purchaser only (even if you accidentally put their details in the billing field - don't panic...unless you entered their email address!)
Yes, of course. You would need to place a separate order through the checkout process for each gift, so that the checkout captures each address, gift card message and delivery fee.
However if you are ordering more than 3, please feel free to email us your order and we will pop you back a combined invoice.
If emailing please include:
Gift Type / Name & Address / Preferred Delivery Date & Gift Card Message for each gift.
Due to the living nature of our gifts we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes within NZ. Please provide a physical street address for the courier (this could be a work or home address, or even a family friend)
Apartments & Gated Communities:
Often couriers find there is no access to apartment buildings or gated communities as people are at work when they call.
We recommend sending direct to their place of work if the courier would encounter any issues with delivery which would cause delays for the delivery of your living gift.
Through our website we are alerted if an order is deemed to be high risk of fraud. If this happens the order will be refunded to the credit card immediately.
Should you wish to continue with your order we will require bank payment via Poli or Direct Credit before dispatch occurs. We make no apologies for taking this hard stance to stamp out credit card fraud.
